The Role

An excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Technical Operator to join a well-established and growing engineering/manufacturing business. Working within the Quality & Compliance team, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming products and materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and technical specifications before entering production.

This role would suit someone with previous quality control experience who enjoys a hands-on technical environment and has a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming inspections of materials and products against quality standards and specifications.
  • Verify compliance with purchase order requirements and technical drawings.
  • Update inspection records and batch classifications within the ERP system.
  • Accurately use measuring and inspection equipment to assess product quality.
  • Maintain traceability of products and materials within designated quality areas.
  • Escalate any non-conformances or quality concerns to the relevant teams.
  • Support the wider Quality & Compliance function as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a Quality Control, Quality Inspection, Goods-In Inspection, or Manufacturing Quality role.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience using measuring equipment and manual inspection tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality documentation.
  • Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
